Okay, in English…”the Castle at Czersk.”
In early summer we took a day trip from our flat in the center of Warsaw to Czersk, a sleepy little hamlet about 50k south of the city which is home to the ruins of a pretty cool 13th century castle built by the Mazovian Prince Janusz I. Over the centuries this place has stood atop the largest hill around as a watch point over the Vistula valley below.
Carolyn and I cycled to the castle ruins in Czersk. Approximately 100K round trip with about 50% via dirt roads and even some tractor roads! Despite 2 tire blowouts on C’s bike in the first 10k we made the trip in about 7 hours, including an hour at the Castle and stopping for a picnic lunch.
